1 - Have Fun! At the end of the day, this is why we’re here. So… have fun, after all, it’s just a hobby. And if you’re not having fun? Take a break, we won’t mind. 2 – Angle Fed UcW is an Angle Fed. This means that the results are pre-determined by the General managers, rather than who did the better role-play. As such, wins and losses are storyline driven. Why? Because we want this place to be fun, without the bitching of people who thought their role-play was the best. 3 – Created Wrestlers only We are a created wrestler fed. What this means is we want 100% original wrestlers. We didn’t get into this to write a show about 100 different versions of Kane and Undertaker. And please, no bald-headed Redneck, beer-drinking, anti-authoritian’s who just have a different name. Thank you. And when you create your wrestler, please check through our Active and Inactive rosters. If you have a gimmick, Pic-base or song, etc, that is the same as someone already here, chances are you wont get in. 4 – Small Promotion UcW is a small fed, which produces one show every two weeks from its custom built Arena. They don’t have a lot of money, so can’t afford to splash out of pyros or and expensive Titantron-type screen. Please also bear this in mind when playing your character. Your wrestler is not likely to be driving around in an expensive car, or have a mansion. UcW pays them a decent wage, but it's nowhere near TNA or WWE levels. 5 – Role-play details We’re not looking for War And Peace, but we do expect something with a little meat to it. Minimum length is 20 lines, but doing only 20 won’t get you a good grade. Limit is 4 RP’s, but you can only post one on the final day of ranking. If you fail to role-play for two shows without notice, your account will be suspended until good reason has been given to a GM. Continued No-Show’s will result in permanent termination. Note; if you haven’t got a scheduled match this week, that doesn’t mean you shouldn’t RP. We are great believers of Impromptu matches, or your character could be in a skit to further your feud. Also, if you don't RP one week, you will now no longer be booked the following week. And please, before you put your masterpiece up, we ask that you run it through word processor program (such as Word) to correct any spelling mistakes. We don’t mind the odd mistype, but hate wading through RP’s where every other word is spelled wrong. 6 – Calling people out We make the matches. Sorry to sound like a twat, but we do. If you call someone out, or challenge for a belt when you’re not in a storyline with that guy, or even in his league, it will make you look like a fool. First time gets you a warning and your RP deleted, second gets you a two-week suspension. Third strike, and you’re out. Also, if you’re already in an angle, don’t call someone else out, because this seems like you’re not happy with the angle we gave you. And that makes us sad. 7 - Using other wrestlers in your role-plays This isn’t going to happen, unless you have the handler’s permission, or are in a stable with them. This is to prevent you misusing their guy. On the first report of you breaking this rule, you get a warning and your RP deleted, second gets a two-week suspension, third and you’re out. But we’re not a bunch of nasty men, and we know how hard it is to write in a vacuum. So, ask them for permission, tell them what you want to use them for. Why not give your wrestler a manager/valet, as someone to talk to? Or, why not use our handy-dandy interviewer? That’s what she’s there for. 8 – Breaking stuff in role-plays As I said, UcW is a small Indy Promotion. So you want to trash your opponent house? His car? Well, you can’t. Because we can’t afford that sort of publicity stunt, we can’t destroy anything. We can’t even afford for you to smash a watch or a camera… or a microphone. The above three strikes rule is in affect for this rule. 9 - Attacks in role-plays Just don't attack anybody, period. Since UcW is founded on reality, anything you do has repercussions. If you hit someone, it’s not a publicity stunt, it’s an offence. This goes for attacking or kidnapping anyone, even if they are just the UcW Cameraman you made up just for that skit. Same three strikes apply. 10 - Dark Match Role-plays As stated, UcW doesn’t host house events, or have dark matches… unless otherwise stated by us. So, please, no RP’s where you go down to the ring to talk to the fans. And please note, we don’t have any Jobbers who are willing to get beaten up by you. However, you can take advantage of the famous UcW Bar and Grill, located next to the Arena, which sometimes hosts meet and greet sessions with the wrestlers. You can use this as a forum to vent you frustrations or however you feel. 11 – Leaves of Absence This really is the most important rule (so why isn’t it first?) Try any Fed and they will say “Real Life comes first” and UcW is no exception. All we ask is that, if something comes up, you notify a GM. That way we can write your character out of the show, and set up your triumphant return. 12 - Sex, Drugs, and Rock-and-Roll (ok, maybe not the last one) Since UcW is a televised show, we ask you stay away from all illegal drugs and/or steroids in your RP’s. We don’t mind drinking and smoking cigarettes (in moderation) as long as it is legal for your character in whichever State we are in at the time. NOTE: It is now illegal to smoke in public areas in the UK. Sex is also off the books. It can be alluded to, but just don’t get out there and have at it on screen. You’re not Edge. This includes nudity. 13 - I repeat, HAVE FUN! I know I said this before, but this is really a biggy. And the easiest way to have fun is if we all get along. You’ll note there is no Flame Board on the forums, and we ask you to not bitch and whine on them. Take it to PM or IM, and ask a GM for help if needed. We also expect no racist or derogatory comments on our boards. Failure to apply to these will enter you into our three strikes system So please, leave your ego’s at the door, and just enjoy the ride. I know it seems like a lot of rules, that some people aren’t used to, but if you think you can handle it, why not apply today. After all, I used to write to similar rules when I first got into this hobby, and it moulded me into the great RPer I am today (hey, what did I say about Egos?)
